Evans Auditorium – Texas State University

In 1996, Vernon L. Dunagin, AIA, acting as the Architect-of-Record, designed the roof replacement and masonry repairs to this large performing arts structure. Challenges presented during the work were directions to keep the building in operation and provide protection for students and visitors entering and exiting the building daily. The large built-up roof was replaced, but also new thru-wall flashings introduced where these elements were omitted in the original construction. The roofs continue to function in good condition today.
